Our teaching and our students’ learning benefit from a feeling of community in our classrooms. The sooner that feeling is created the better, but getting there can be difficult when our students are learning remotely, quarantined, and experiencing a mix of the excitement for the beginning of a new semester and the anxiety of a health crisis.
